I recently captured 18.5 hours of data on the Sunflower Galaxy #M63. By some miracle, I got two whole clear nights in a row after a month of clouds. This turned out much better than I expected!

Its swirling arms, glowing with blue young stars and red emission nebulae, are punctuated by dark dust filaments.  Light from this galaxy, which interacts gravitationally with M51, takes 35 million years to reach Earth. The galaxy's high stellar rotation speed suggests the presence of dark matter.
