Hubble-X, a vibrant emission nebula in the nearby galaxy NGC 6822, glows with the light of its 4-million-year-old stars. This stellar nursery, sculpted by stellar winds and radiation, is intrinsically brighter than the Orion Nebula, despite being 1000 times farther away at 1.6 million light-years. Its size is also considerably larger, spanning 100 light-years compared to Orion's 10 light-years. The image shows the nebula's complex structure, with a prominent bright central region and fainter, extended emissions.
