I've been replaying og FFVII for the millionth time and also exhausted from work and doing this for a whole month so for the very last day of Nekovember I present to you catgirl-ified Tifa, my kami waifu.
A shot, familiar, corresponding to other battle-ready poses - this time, we see Senah the Former Bandit (Probably) in the background, spear drawn - for the first time this month we see her face in doing this, and her grin is wide and wicked and hungry; a predator playing with her food. In the foreground, we're looking over the shoulder of The Heroine (Unfortunately), Red Badfakename. It is clear they are about to start another duel. The Heel is just whoever the crowd wants to Lose, and the Face is whoever the crowd wants to Win. If people buy PPV or tune in to watch this smug villain get her desserts, well, then you got worked. BUT! and this is Important: Barring a real-life actual death/injury, Heels must get beaten. Eventually.

I don't watch much magical girl stuff, just never been my thing, but I wanted to try drawing a MG that stays true to basic MG outfit design but with my own flavor. I like heavy metal, so I tried incorporating that in the elements that make up a MG outfit.

Senah the Former Bandit stands beneath an umbrella in the Limsa Lominsa housing district of the Mist - she's wearing sunglasses, a floral print button up shirt tucked into the hem of dark brown pants, hiked up with a light brown leather belt holding them up. Her expression was steady, solid: the wry grin on her face hadn't moved in the slightest, things were different for now, and they'll be different again soon, and the only thing she had was the moment, they were steady now, they were calm now. But turbulent times come for chaotic people and Senah steadied herself as much as she could. No reason to make a scene, kick up a fuss: just act like you belong there, and everything is going to be fine. Just. Be. Cool.

I really struggled to come up with something for today, and in the end I just decided to try making the Goddess of Catgirls. Which, really, is just me making a catgirl but really glamorous and graceful.

Limsa Lominsa’s curfew settled into place during the Scion’s campaign to end the Final Days: the hope, to keep people safe and orderly through the time so as to prevent worse and worse outcomes of people shattering and falling to hopelessness. Senah had come to Limsa Lominsa to reunite with her children independently of the apocalypse, and while it only matters to the sinner if they repent at the end of the world, Senah found herself standing for something: she found her sense of justice again, she found that she could be on the right side of things again. Even Senah couldn’t pretend to be unaffected by the event. Even Senah could find what it meant to be good. “Even Senah,” she heard, far more than she would be comforted by.

Senah the Bandit, sitting at a table in Old Sharlayan, dressed in what we've come to love as the Gleaner's uniform - she wears glasses and is looking at the camera with a slight smile. Nothing is impossible to come back from, and even making a good impression on a few well-meaning Archons can open some doors - its late in life that Senah enlists as a Gleaner, following the exit of a particularly famous one. The banditry ceases, because the work is interesting and the travel is fun: its unlikely she'll return to the Black Shroud at this point, but you can never really say "never" can you?

Decided to make a new catgirl oc for this one, and I envisioned some kind of nervous galactic federation officer type. Pretty happy with what I came up with.
Senah is pictured shrugging, her hands part, fingers splayed, eyes wide, smile insincere. Retirement wasn't without its challenges. Trading in the forest thickets of the Shroud and the ever present dangers of the Elementals, the Wood Wailers, and everything in between for the raucous life that Limsa Lominsa afforded her, Senah found herself talking her way into and out of trouble. "Listen, don't even worrrrry about it," she'd purr, a simple statement, "We're gonna solve everything, just wait and see, ease into it, no reason to get pent up! We handle our business, everybody gets what they want! Its the opposite of compromise, everybody wins! Just give me some morrrre tiiiiiime!" When in doubt, purr a li'l, pirates love that shit.

I've played a number of ninja games throughout the years and incorporated various elements of the various ninja ladies' outfits from those games, but my favorite is Ayane from Tenchu 3.
Senah, in the Peaks of Gyr Abania, dressed to scout in the Alliance Aiming set, dyed hunter green. She has a hand to her ear, answering a linkpearl - in the background, a statue is headless, destroyed by Garlean soldiers, no doubt. The Eorzean Alliance's march through the Shroud and having their hand forced into mobility into Gyr Abania and Ala Mhigo by Ilberd Feare's false flag operation brought opportunities to escape, to evade the heat of capture: and Senah followed. Sneaking along with the Maelstrom scouts as if she belonged, she found herself put to work: first, to steady footholds as the Eorzean Alliance marched, then second, to destabilize Garlean pockets. After a time, there was a call to send scouts into the Ghimlyt Dark and beyond - there was an amassing, and people who could sneak in and past and see what lay in wait were valuable, with the Warrior of Light in absentia abroad in Yanxia...

Once again I chose to do a sci-fi knight rather than fantasy since I enjoy me some sci-fi. It was fun to design her armor as I went along. I love big pauldrons.

The camera is set from behind Senah: we see, before her, a member of the Brass Blades and a Wood Wailer both, setting aside their national differences to capture the bandit. Senah brandishes a spear and hides her face behind a helmet: she will not go gentle into the tense night. There was a point when the gang became as family. Lived as family. Fought as family. Stole as family. Faced consequences as family. Senah aspired to give her share to her children; her Family - a bastardization of a Miqo'te clan with Senah as the Matriarch - had ambitions, had goals, had dreams of comfort and riches and wealth beyond measure and saw only what they could reach and took more than they could carry and spent others' lives to take what they wanted. And in the Shroud that night, there was an awful fire, in the Shroud that night it burned in the chest of the woman who would be the most dangerous among the forests; in the Court of the Queen, the Shroud itself would stand in silent judgment screaming for only the Hearers of Gridania to hear its bloody yowling, and in knowing who they screamed of, they turned a deaf ear to the suffering of those undesirable of the Elementals further.
