It’s funny because I’ve been recommending, for years, #NewLifeBegins as a perfect introduction to #cdrama: the MC are sweet & tenacious

But it’s the same actress in that drama & #PursuitOfJade

So my mind is having a hard time wrapping around the fact that she’s so bad ass!!! 😂

I’ve liked her in everything I’ve seen her in 🙂

Some of her roles are lighter (eg, #WrongCarriageRightGroom & at least parts of #NewLifeBegins, tho it has heavier sides too), while others more demanding (such as #MoonlitReunion) - but she’s clearly a standout presence in all of them

#NewLifeBegins, with #BaiJingTing, is a really good one from her filmography.

#TianXiWei is so quirky/comedic in #PursuitofJade. Loved her in #NewLifeBegins.

I almost didn't start watching #NewLifeBegins because I was annoyed by this poster's poor attempt at summarizing this character's personality with a photoshopped poultry.

Glad I powered through it! Turns out its a #cdrama with few chickens and lots of women supporting women for epic change!

Are we really gonna hold #BaiJingTing in #NewLifeBegins to a different standard than in #FirstFrost?

Ooooh. So many great C-dramas to choose from when you’re starting out. For a first-time historical/costume one, I’d maybe suggest #NewLifeBegins (sisterhood and a nice time) and/or #TheDouble (fun gothic revenge thrills). Both have good production, acting, etc and are pretty accessible for newbies.

For historical type dramas you could try #TheDouble (a revenge drama),
#BlossomsinAdversity (an underdog story & romance about a family surviving adversity), or
#NewLifeBegins (also a romance & family drama, but with more comic moments)

Yeeeeah I struggled too after Untamed

Wang Hedi is good in this - but it’s a collaborative drama like #NewLifeBegins (with much of the same cast from that), so even if you’re not Dylan’s biggest fan there are other characters you can enjoy

It’s quirky, so it won’t be for everyone; but it’s one of my fave 2025 dramas for sure 👍

I ❤️ #BaiJingting as prince in #NewLifeBegins, wasn't that impressed with #FirstFrost (storyline meh) but he's carrying the amazing sci fi series #Mobius as sole star along with great supporting cast. A cop who solves crimes via time loops. Love a show that assumes audience intelligence.

There is again great variety here, from sober epic dynastic tales acted by senior casts, to dark stylish tales of vengeance, to comedy romances with more youthful actors (such as #NewLifeBegins)
