Many Japanese dramas have a slightly manic, slapstick comedic quality to them, but that’s not restricted to BLs. It’s a wider cultural experience. And if you were to watch, say, #OldFashionedCupcake or #10ThingsIWantToDoBeforeITurn40 (or even the original #CherryMagic), you’d see a different vibe.

I loved it too! #10ThingsIWantToDoBeforeITurn40 first ep was very cute. The efficient and effective yet kind manager with hot slightly younger successful subordinate was giving plenty of #OldFashionedCupcake vibes. (They even mentioned ice cream parfait!) But oh, that soft toy onesie outfit! 🥹

Oh goodness. I’d struggle to come up with three, as there are so many options depending on your mood! Like, for a total warm hug of a comfort show, I’d think #OldFashionedCupcake. For traditional uni-based Thai BL, I think #BadBuddy might be my favourite. If I want coming of age, maybe #Blueming.
