Taking a "break" won't make infectious diseases go away.
We are facing a worsening #H5N1 outbreak, a continued #mpox #PHEIC, an unprecedented ↗️ in #measles cases globally & an overall ↗️ in ID threats.
Not funding ID research increases the threat to the US and the world.
