Did you know invasive knotweed is in the same tasty family as rhubarb? Tart, punchy, and totally edible. Add young stalks to salads or bake a spring galette—eat the problem.

💜Lady Fern's Soiree💜 When you’re broke and want to throw a feast for strangers, the forest has all the answers. I put together this magical gathering on a budget, foraging lots of the ingredients myself! These purple eggs with nettle filling were a wonderful first course. #wildfood #pnwforaging

I go the first 36.5 years of my life (and over a decade of mushroom hunting) without seeing a single one, and now I see two in one week?

Probably bad news for this tree though, as cauliflower mushrooms are parasitic and/or saprotrophic. #fungifriends #pnw #foraging #pnwforaging

I love foraging in the PNW. Always keeping my eyes out for the elusive lions mane mushroom.
