A tiny, thumbnail-sized, bright green Pacific chorus frog sits on a leaf the exact same color with a tangle of dried grass, fallen rose leaves, and some wire from a chain-link fence behind it. The frog has a very dark brown (almost black) lateral stripe that extends from its nose to the end of its hind jumping legs. Its underside is lighter than its top side. My kids found it in a wild patch of the backyard. We actually found two of them, but the other one sneaked away before we could get a picture.

Green coloured Pacific Chorus Frog with dark copper stripe up the centre of its back and hind legs, on a cement road next to my pointer finger. The frog is about as long as my finger tip to first knuckle, and the same width. Likely migrating to a nearby breeding as the chorus was loud tonight.
