On the paper two lines of Papaver somniferum (breadseed poppy) seed pods, the cultivar Hungarian Blue, that remains mostly closed after ripening - this trait deliberately bred in so the seeds will not spill. Nevertheless there are a couple of stray seeds on the paper. The lines of pods are interlaced like a zipper and converge gently out of frame to the right.
