The small area of mangrove that I was able clear of the insidiously snagged fishing line and a fearful hook.
The cleared cut fishing line including a ballon ribbon that was so trapped I had to cut it free as well. If a bird or reptile or fish or eel got caught in this line, no way would they get free without human help. The line cannot be snapped with brute strength, I tried…drew blood on my finger. The only way is a sharp knife or scissors. I now carry a multi-tool just for this purpose.
