And then they put up signs for carriageway repairs on the pavement making them inaccessible for some

Notice the amount of signs on the pavement/sidewalk which narrows it for pedestrians, and just for the benefit of drivers whose carriageway isn’t narrowed

Isn’t this just one of far too many

Local authorities and national governments are so beholden to the motoring lobby that they pour money into roads. They ignore and neglect pavements even though almost everyone uses them daily

We hope every cllr in this country reads this and then bans allowing vehicles to park on pavements

And if you’re a driver - then don’t park on pavements. It’s selfish and next time you could know the person having to be rescued

Good to see RBK allow all hire bikes here

Would be better if they could supply parking bays, like they do with motorised vehicles, so that riders are encouraged to keep pavements free for all pedestrians
