A shallow stream, winding gently downhill through a grassy, moorland landscape. Its waters are tumbling over a series of low, step-like rock shelves and between rocks scattered on the river bed. In parts, the water is reflecting the blue sky above.
A favourite Peak District path: the stretch of Pennine Way between Crowden & Black Hill summit. I always felt like I was leaving the world and its troubles behind when I walked along here.
