Used gutter tests. One with sticks crossed, one horizontally.
These are called Quick Stick and I have tied at each X and will weave as they grow.
Started in grow bags so they can root up before being planted as shade trees for cacao trees.
I’m hoping for a fence that will contain dogs that dig. This has a reputation of repelling mongoose as well.
Attempting something magic. Planting living fence out of Madre de Cacao. It will help soil erosion and keeps many bad bugs away, like termites and centipedes.

A two year old Malama Avocado tree with vetiver behind it. This slope is bare ground and erosion is severe. A banana stalk is helping to hold the soil behind the tree. You can see lilikoi, dragon fruit and white pineapple planted below, with coffee trees as well.
The best time to plant a tree was many years ago. The next best time is now. Right? Right.
Four trees in the ground so far this week in hundred dollar holes. Two avocados, two Madre de Cacao.
Still to plant: cinnamon, fig, huckleberry.
