My father contracted bulbar #polio as an adult, which affected his swallowing and breathing; eventually caused his death from #postpoliosyndrome. We were so happy to get those sugar cubes! These people range from stupid to criminal.

My mom is a survivor, her parents were Jehovah's Witnesses and wouldnt let her get the vaccine or any treatment for it. She suffered alone on a sofa in a farmhouse with no indoor plumbing. She still can't remember how she used the bathroom. At 72, her legs hurt every single day. #PostPolioSyndrome
