I had the opportunity to be in Alaska for 6 weeks and I went on a glacier cruise leaving from this picturesque village in Alaska. This was taken after the cruise when the sun was out. It was raining and overcast for all but the last 30 minutes of the cruise. Whittier, Alaska is situated at the head of the Passage Canal on the western edge of Prince William Sound, the community of Whittier is approximately 60 miles southeast of Anchorage. The harbor and a deep water port are used by cruise ships and the Alaska Marine Highway.
