Re-reading an oldie but goodie. #Ralstonia was one of the first bacterial genomes to be sequenced. This paper is a great introduction to Ralstonia and their genomes. I am not sure I looked at the supplemental material before, but I like it.

Phage host range matters for both fundamental and applied research, but how do we measure viral specialisation or generalism? We analyse diverse phages from Mauritius and Reunion infecting #Ralstonia spp. to test eco-evolutionary hypotheses and improve host-range analysis methods.

To characterize the genetic diversity of Nagendra's isolates, our CURE sequenced genomes of 25 isolates.
Using KBase, we placed these news genomes in the phylogenetic context of all publicly available #Ralstonia.

#Ralstonia is a soil-borne pathogen that is difficult for growers to manage.
In order to identify cultivars with tolerance/resistance to Ralstonia in Southeast Asia, Nagendra selected six genetically diverse strains (all phylotype I) and quantified their aggression on a panel of 36 🍆🍅and 🫑lines
