Only 16% of people diagnosed with some of the less survivable cancers survive beyond 5 years. The #RareCancersBill is a unique opportunity to tackle this and more. We are pleased to have supported this Bill throughout its journey and will continue to do so as it progresses.
The #RareCancersBill has officially passed its Third Reading in the House of Commons, unamended and with cross-party support! We’re proud to stand alongside @drscottarthurmp.bsky.social & our partners in supporting this vital Bill, which is now on track for its First Reading in the House of Lords.
As mentioned by Gregory Stafford MP, only 16% people diagnosed with some of the less survivable cancers survive beyond 5 years, in comparison to over 55% for more common cancers. The #RareCancersBill is a unique opportunity to improve survival rates.
