Today ARK River School was at Fir Tree Primary, Newbury.
Yr 5 had a great introductory workshop learning about their local chalk streams, the Lambourn and the Kennet and the wonderful wildlife that lives in them.

Yesterday we ran an all day #RiverSchool for 90 children from Chilton Foliat Primary on and the Kennet at the beautiful Chilton Estate. The ARK team ran 3 different activities to assist students with hands on, outdoor chalk stream fun & memorable learning.

A wonderful morning River School on the Kennet at Axford for St Michael's Aldbourne.
This session was in partnership with our friends Ramsbury Farming & Countryside Education who were in parallel running land based outdoor farming and countryside activities for the school students.

A Sunday morning #RiverSchool introducing families attending a Forest School Camp at Stitchcombe to the wonders of chalk streams.
Lots of invertebrates found (pictured a flat-bodied heptageniidae larva and a cased caddis), a couple of bullhead fry and some hatching mayfly too.

It's a packed week of running River School workshops, yesterday afternoon we visited Oare Primary.
Our workshop 1 opens up the world of chalk streams before a second workshop in and by the river.
