"Be open to possibility." ~ #RobinPickens
A patchwork quilt representing a floral circular wreath - rendered geometrically - with flowers in peach, dark teal, lighter blue on white and turquoise and peach on black and turquoise and peach on white. All on a lighter duck egg blue background.
The same quilt but from further away, hanging on a chain link fence in a light industrial setting - two one storey buildings either side made out of yellow London Stock brick, with bars on their windows. A tree in full spring leaf in the background and a bright blue may sky above.
The same quilt close up. Showing the quilting pattern which is a series of ever decreasing offset squares which gives the illusion of curves as they spiral onwards.
An even closer shot of the dead centre of the quilt - where, only about 2cm high, the number 50 has been used as quilting lines. The thread used is a similar colour to the duck egg blue background so the effect is subtle, almost hidden.

A gift for a friend for a landmark birthday
Second time out for this pattern by #RobinPickens using fabric from my stash. But larger this time - about 48" square.
And I've included a secret message in the quilting.

Next 5 of a 100 block sampler - designed by #AliceCaroline - using #RobinPickens fabrics from my stash rather than the suggested Liberty lawns.
Was planning on doing 2 a week, but 14 weeks into the year I'm at 9/100... 🤨... Need to up my planning skills!

Patchwork blocks in four different designs creating simple geometric patterns. Created via a method known as strip piecing where rectangles of different coloured fabric - bold, bright ones combined with an off-white in this instance - are sewn together, then subcut into smaller pieces, then resewn to create a variety of checkerboard, hashed and crossed patterns.

A patchwork quilt representing a floral circular wreath - rendered geometrically - with flowers in white and blue with green leaves on a sparkly darker blue background. Hung on a railed fence with real white flowers growing in the foreground. A wintery grey sky above.
