During discussing the mission details of how to defeat a Shinju,
Shikamaru explains he thinks shinju aren’t intrinsically evil. He has similar thoughts to mine that Shinju are new to experiencing human emotions in general.

So Matsuri talk about how Boruto planted the toad there and she knows this information from the underground trees. That seems like OP information network. Matsuri abilities are like internet in Konoha. She can get info even while located in a desert! 😆

Of course, it could also lead to a downward spiral instead for the girls, but I sincerely hope it doesn’t happen and they can mend their relationship. I’d also like for Sarada to really think through her feelings for Boruto as well.

The chapter was AMAZING! BorutoTBV needs more of this. We learned a lot about characters and insane information just with characters taking to each other.

Unexpected Yodo and Sarada interactions with Yodo bluntly saying Sarada vibe changed a lot and asking whether she’s into a guy. Is the story going in the direction of Sarada acknowledging her feelings towards Boruto and reflecting on her convo with Sumire?

This upcoming arc is the great way to explore how their dynamic changed due to it, but I’d love more team 7 moments here, since this arc is perfect set up for that side to be explored now.

Eida knows Shikamaru set up Boruto’s escape on purpose and used Mitsuki to do it. To sum it up, Shikamaru being Hokage is advantageous to her and she doesn’t want to cause Boruto any trouble.

Sumire’s feelings towards Sarada are tangled mess. We know Sumire sees Sarada as her close friend, but in this scene she doubts if Sarada does in the heat of the moment. In a way, maybe it parallels Helena being jealous of Hermia in Shakespeare too!

Rather than a proper argument it was Sumire partially venting her feelings to Sarada. It’s not just about liking Boruto, but about whether Sarada SEES her as a close friend.

Not everyone likes being referred to by nickname, some ppl prefer if someone close to them use their real name. What Sumire implies is:

But it sucks for Sumire because she did LET Sarada and Boruto have their moment, sees Sarada as a friend, prioritise her safety and is generally considerate of Sarada’s feelings. My heart breaks for her.

I love BoruSara as a ship and Sarada’s one of my faves, but it’s true her flaw is acting on impulse and as much as I adore BoruSara hug scene doing so in front of Sumire that likes him is inconsiderate of Sumire’s feelings. I don’t think Sarada does it on purpose.

IMO, the point Sumire’s making is whether Sarada considers the feelings of others when she does something. If you’re friends with someone and know they like a guy, then jump into their arms of said guy in front of them… Wouldn’t that hurt your feelings? 😭
