I was told & shown this last week by a visitor at #RyeMeads after having talked about #Bubo #Panlisting I mentioned @graemelyons.bsky.social having a webinar on @eventbrite.bsky.social that I hope to see… I digress I went on to find my own Nettle rust fungus this week I love learning new things
No photos by me but lead a guided walk at #RyeMeads today & caught up with 2 Water vole & the pair of Kingfisher plus a few Common snipe amongst others but 30 minutes after I left a White stork flew over 🥴

Warm sunshine makes such a difference, and being out watching wildlife is good for mental health.

It was a lovely walk yesterday #RyeMeads @rspb.bsky.social so warm I enjoyed my lunch in short sleeves on my favourite bench also had Raven overhead then 2 of my favourite flowers Snowdrops & Hazel flowers then I saw an Orange ladybird hibernating on the garage door … A great day with vitamin D

Heterophylly
is often witnessed in holly trees, where some leaves are prickly, a defense against herbivores, while others are non-prickly, with smooth margins and no defense at browse height
