Congratulations to Nyah from #SalemStateUniversity for winning a $100k scholarship to study nursing #big10championship
Me? Well. Funny. My right arm took me out in the end.. You know, my primary appendage that never got the medical attention it needed because of #SalemStateUniversity and #JeanetteLindholm deciding the sanctity of her rule over her class was absolute.
Anyway. Somehow I made it out of #SalemStateUniversity alive. I won a slightly different degree then originally planned, but it was a Bachelor's, and I acquired a MassDOE #TeachingLicense. Technically, I still do.
I couldn't stop focusing on the #unfairness of the #JeanetteLindholm situation, and that #SalemStateUniversity was supporting her right to rule her classroom over my health. Especially when it defied the principles of my #EducationalStudies at that very institution!
Before it came to that, I tried to appeal to #SalemStateUniversity, but they maintained her final say over my physical health and wellbeing.
Louder Now:
#SSU maintained a faculty's member's #AbsenteePolicy over #StudentHealthAndWellbeing
& that student had undiagnosed #Anxiety, #ADHD, and #Autism
Of course, when #MercerCountyCommunityCollege was faced with evidence of a faculty member being cruel, unfair, and tyrannical, they assisted me and recognized the situation at hand.
#SalemStateUniversity failed the same challenge, and in doing so, may have crippled me. For real.
I was able to girlboss my way through most of college. The topics that were taught well, I've retained a lot of. Unfortunately, #SalemStateUniversity didn't have as many of those as they should have. I definitely had a better academy experience at #MercerCountyCommunityCollege
Point of Reference:
I did successfully win an #AssociatesDegree from #MercerCountyCommunityCollege and a #BachelorsDegree from #SalemStateUniversity I was the #VP of the #SSUSTD #EnglishHonorSociety. On paper, my credentials look fabulous.
A shame earning them sucked the joy out of learning.
