This is such a lovely #wine from @ClarenceDillon_ I remember when it was called Les Plantiers de Haut-Brion instead of La Clarté. This 2022 had ripe aromas of lemon, white flower, orange peel and lemongrass. Nice acidity and balance. #Bordeaux #Pessac #Sauvignon blanc #Semillon

Blast from the past 36 years on. #Niagara Chateau des Charmes 1990 Select Late Harvest #Sauvignon Blanc. Only made once and only 324 bottles. #Sauternes like in character with vibrant acidity. This #wine is amazing with stone fruit character. Unfortunately now impossible to get.

This 2016 Blanc Fumé de #Pouilly is a great expression of #Sauvignon Blanc from #Loire Medium straw colour, nose of chamomile, lychee, white flowers, mandarin orange, and lemon. Flint and dry stone minerality drives this #wine that is in the sweet spot now.

Chateau Lamothe Guignard Sauternes Grand Cru Classé 2022, Bordeaux, France Golden in color. Beautiful nose of dried apricots, honey, light spices and honeysuckle. Medium plus in body and creamy, with medium plus acidity. Sweet on the palate with apples, apricots, light citrus fruits, spices, honey, minerals and caramel. Long finish with lemons and honey notes. This sweet wine from Sauternes is still young and already delicious. Rich and fruit forward. Fresh and well balanced. Complex, elegant and interesting. Will continue to age nicely in the next few decades. Has good potential to become a 96+ point wine. A blend of 90% Sémillon, and 10% Sauvignon and Muscadelle. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 93 points. $35.
