I can see that the new UK govt guidance for #schoolgovernors re impact of school policy & practice on children with SEND, on MH etc has the potential to address systemic issues eg oppressive staff behaviour. The checklists are good. But will they be implemented?

Children - esp those with #SEND - are forced out of school all the time, but 472 in 3 years from one school is shocking. Obviously, there should be no place for these #oppressive behaviour policies in schools. How can LAs & MATs keep children safe? What role do #schoolgovernors have here?
