Brian is a masters student in the Conservation Science program in FWCB. He worked in the lab as a undergraduate researcher focused on dentition wear in prickleback fishes and is now changing gears to work on morphology of fishes in the Esocidae family.

Critter Highlight: Grunt Sculpin (Rhamphocottus richardsonii)
Measuring in at 8.9 cm / 3.5 inches, the Grunt Sculpin gets it's name from reportedly vibrating or "grunting" when held. It mainly preys on small crustaceans but sometimes small fishes and worms as well.
