I never had sensory issues as a kid (that I was aware of at least.) We used to low key make fun of my mom for being scent sensitive in the 90s and karma is a bitch! I almost passed out from the smell of citrus scrubbing bubbles in my 100 square foot office. 🤢🥴 #neurodivergent #sensoryoverwhelm
The realness of the world made me get #sensoryoverwhelm.
The cars were too fast. The bumps on the steering wheel too bumpy. The noise of other cars too loud. The radio too yappy. There were weird smells and it was too bright out. Something on my shirt itched and my seat belt set weird.
