“Aww, come on, Red.” Lucifer tilted his head so he could headbut Alastor’s shoulder while peering upside down at him and batting his eyelashes. “Do I gotta sweeten the deal? One kiss now and one kiss when we’re done?” Alastor opened his mouth to reply, only to have Rot shove him away by his face, the shadow holding out its hand to Lucifer to shake on the deal.

Rot’s hands slid up Lucifer’s thighs as he crawled over him, giving Lucifer the best seductive look he could manage with only eye sockets and pointy teeth. Lucifer sucked in a breath as Rot’s thumbs pressed into the space where Lucifer’s legs met his torso. The chittering that followed was comforting. Was this crossing a line? Lucifer had never spoken to Alastor about Rot and where the shadow fit in their relationship. Sure, he flirted with Rot all the time, but Alastor was always there for that. And yeah, Rot had been sexual with him before, but again, Alastor had been there. Alastor had involved him. Was Lucifer allowed to do that without him? “Rot, I… I think we should wait for Alastor.”
