A color-coded chart that is 6 columns by 32 rows. Each column represents a generation. Countries, U.S. State, or "?" are listed in each cell. If known, county and city also appear. Six question marks are in the 6th generation. North Carolina, Arkansas, and Kansas are repeated quite often. Italy, Germany, and Scotland also appear in some cells.
Tried to do #sixgenerations Really highlighted how much I still don't know. Thanks, all, for the inspiration. #genealogy
Age of ancestor at marriage
Age of ancestor at birth of my direct ancestor. Starting with my parents at the age they had me.
Another #sixgenerations
1. (Left) age at Marriage
2. (Right) age at birth of my direct ancestor
Biggest takeaway is that i come from quite a few youngest / second youngest children. #genealogy
Finally get to play the #SixGenerations chart game!
Note the question marks on the Ancestral places - most of these families came from Europe so long ago, I haven't been able to trace them to their true Ancestral places.
In my sixth generation, one 3rd-great was born in Ireland and two in Germany!
Years researching: 6
Hobbyist: Paternal pedigree research is original with help from FB groups.
Discovery : Y-DNA GD6 match with surname Papesch in NZ due to a PapeΕΎ/VondrΓ‘kovΓ‘ marriage in 1714.
Niche : US immigrants from ChmeΔΎnica, Slovakia.

Another one! My #sixgenerations of age at death for my ancestors! I have quite a few that I only know lived until AT LEAST a certain age & some definitely lived quite a few years beyond my latest βknownβ age. #genealogy
Tried to color code from youngest (red) to oldest (green & blue)
My #sixgenerations chart! Thank you @jahboeren.bsky.social who sent me the template & thank you @poloniagen.bsky.social for making it!
-A little difficult with some of the border changes in Austria-Hungary

A six generations genealogy chart, showing my known British ancestry and my mostly unknown Chinese roots.
Well, this was a bit of a headache, but I finally managed to put together a #SixGenerations #Genealogy chart.
If nothing else, this has proven two things to me.
1) I need to do more work on Generation 6 of my British side
2) Likewise, I need to work on my Excel skills

This is my #SixGenerations chart. Mostly British ancestry, with a couple of outliers - USA and Indian born to British parents.
A 6 generation chart showing my husband's ancestors.
After attempting my own #SixGenerations chart yesterday, I've now done my husband's in the hope our son might be interested one day! There are way too many gaps at the moment! I'm so envious of his London roots - I love London research. β€οΈ #genealogy #London
Spreadsheet with birthplaces of six generations, most recently in the USA and further back in Europe and Scandinavia.
Had a bit of fun creating my #SixGenerations chart. Typical American immigrant story.
Six generation pedigree chart colour coded by place of birth (majority are English counties of Cumberland and Lancashire) plus surname and place of birth of all 32 great great great grandparent.
Jumping on the #SixGenerations bandwagon. Only one of my 3x ggps was actually born in my #OnePlaceStudy parishes of #WestwardAndBoltons, but all those highlighted in bold spent a significant part of their lives there.
Creating a #SixGenerations chart for places of birth is a great focus for research. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get further with my Prussian/German/Pomeranians due to few surviving records for their area hugging the Baltic Sea. #Genealogy #FamilyHistory
My 6 generation chart by place of birth.
Here's my first attempt at a #SixGenerations chart by county of birth. In gen 6 I have 4 different Jones families and 3 different Edwards families! π± I've added place of bith and surname for gen 6.
#genealogy
Six Generations family chart by county.
Finally managed to concentrate long enough π to do my #SixGenerations chart. All UK and Ireland counties. I knew i had one missing 3xGreat Grandparent but this shows the missing locations. My #OnePlaceStudy (red text) comes up 3 times.

I finally got time to create my 6 generations chart. Think I will do my sons' next as it should be quite interesting. #Genealogy #SixGenerations
A chart laid out by six generations across the top, gradually splitting from one name in the first column to thirty two names in the sixth, with the surnames of the ancestors listed alongside the final sixth column. Each block is colour coded and displays the birth place of the particular ancestor.
Second version of the #sixgenerations chart, thanks to the inspiration of the lovely #genealogy community. As well as getting some perspective on my #familyhistory and the idea of 'home', it tries to break down some of the movements within counties, particulalrly #Hampshire and #Yorkshire 2/2

Inspired by the lively #genealogy community, have pulled together two versions of the #sixgenerations chart helping me stand back and get perspective on the idea of 'home'. The first is the standard one, the second is more for me and breaks down movements particularly within county areas. 1/2
my #SixGenerations #Genealogy chart
well finally got around to it, not good at making charts, but this is my #SixGenerations #Genealogy chart, majority of my ancestors are from Surrey, but further back from all over Britain
Six Generations Ancestral Chart
I remember doing this a half a dozen years ago. Here's my #SixGenerations chart. #genealogy
Itβs just Excel. If you check the #SixGenerations hashtag you will find lots more :-)

Inspired by @melrootsnwrites.bsky.social to try #sixgenerations with occupations instead! #genealogy
Oh no @melrootsnwrites.bsky.social, what have you started! π #sixgenerations This time with occupations!! #genealogy #genhour
Table showing where my ancestors were born. Lots from New York, Pennsylvania, Wurttemberg, and Denmark. A few born in New Jersey and England. One born in Kansas, Massachusetts (me) and Connecticut
Joining in the #genealogy fun of #SixGenerations
Each color represents the location where my ancestors were born. For the places listed as Ulster County - they are now in Sullivan County, NY - but were in Ulster County when my ancestors were born there.
Testing out #sixgenerations for myself - but it shows me how woefully underdeveloped the Cypriot side is (it does go damn far sideways mind you!) Thank you @jahboeren.bsky.social and the idea from @jernealogy.bsky.social ! #genealogy #genhour
