Jumping on the #SixGenerations bandwagon. Only one of my 3x ggps was actually born in my #OnePlaceStudy parishes of #WestwardAndBoltons, but all those highlighted in bold spent a significant part of their lives there.

As usual, we came through #Boltongate late in the day as we headed north, so the light was all wrong for gravestone photography. Low camera angle helped with legibility but attracted some funny looks from the locals.

By coincidence, yesterday I paid a visit to All Saints Church, Boltongate, where Leonard's father was Rector. Both Leonard and his brother Walter are commemorated on the War Memorial in the churchyard, and his parents are buried there.
