Had a great week at #TIBS2026! Presented my first conference talk, listened to many interesting topics and got to chat with new people. All while exploring the cute city of Aarhus. The travel days were anything but smooth, but we made it back to Munich!
What an exhilarating few days! 🌍 We were proud to support this year’s @biogeography.bsky.social conference in #Aarhus, Denmark.
📘We’re just as thrilled to be publishing the society’s #journal, Frontiers of #Biogeography → biogeography.pensoft.net

Amazing days attending #TIBS2026 in Aarhus ❄️
The conference covered a wide range of topics showing how complex and fascinating life on Earth is. A key learning was how important it is to step outside my research environment and being exposed to new ideas and intersectional perspectives.
❄️ Last week #TIBS2026 took place in Aarhus & I was very happy to be part of the local organising committee: working on ECR events with @mattkerr.bsky.social, designing the logo & signs with the logistic team!
I also presented a poster on PA effectiveness & had great discussions, thanks everyone😊
TIBS 2026 conference was a great opportunity to keep disseminating the @peeer.bsky.social initiative and to present the field's New, Diamond 💎 Open Access journal @biogeographyjfab.bsky.social
Grateful to Michael N. Dawson for the leadership and trust to co-lead this new endeavour

Glad to be back at TIBS conference #TIBS2026. Specially, to find my former students and now colleagues @axelarango.bsky.social and @aberenicega.bsky.social presenting their cool postdoc work.
Got to see old friends and met new ones, always the best part ;)
Wonderful experience to present my poster on how biomes structure global biodiversity at #TIBS2026 this week in #Aarhus! I had great discussions with a group of creative #Biogeography researchers. Thanks for all that reach out and exchange ideas. See you in #Beijing in 2028!
The best way to end up the #TIBS2026 is seeing the northern lights with colleagues! TIBSers, NORTHERN Lights is in Aarhus NOW!

It is always a pleasure to attend these meetings.
This week, I had the opportunity to present my poster on trends and drivers of wildfire occurrence across different biomes at #TIBS2026 in Aarhus 🔥 @tibsaarhus2026.bsky.social

Our best estimate of Europe's "forest" structure prior to the #megafauna #extinctions: Temperate Europe had high local #vegetation heterogeneity, on average 17% open vegetation, 21% closed #forest & 63% light #woodland ➡️www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S295... #TIBS2026
A wonderful #TIBS2026 @tibsaarhus2026.bsky.social conference has ended. Thanks to the @au.dk team for organizing! And thanks to our @globalchangeeco.bsky.social team for the great company! We now look forward to #TIBS2028 im Beijing!
Just presented at #TIBS2026! On the first day of the conference, I gave a talk on #camtrapReport, an R package I developed to automate camera-trap data reporting for wildlife monitoring, turning raw detections into standardized ecological insights and outputs.

Had a great time at #TIBS2026 conference. And appreciative for the award. I wish I took a more serious photo with my poster :( you can't see my themed outfit too.. I was a clown trigger-fish
