8th Book Finished Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman focuses on Charlie's mental health, including how he seeks care that includes an inpatient stay and how Nick can support him. It's an essential message for the target YA audience to see how mental health care is a journey and how love — while important — cannot fix you. Oseman's art continues to evolve wonderfully. 5/5 stars

7th Book Finished Boys Weekend by Mattie Lubchansky is a surreal satire and horror graphic novel that follows Sammie, a nonbinary trans femme, as they navigate a Vegas bachelor party with their college buddies, but make it Lovecraftian/Futurama in tone. Just when Sammie thinks the weekend can't get worse, it does. Funny, irreverent, and poignant. 5/5 stars

After Alice and Ila "survive" the House, they must go back to end it. Trans rage, trauma, and experimental writing. Pay attention to content warnings. 4/5 stars

5th Book Finished Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman continues Nick and Charlie's relationship story and adds more side character moments and romances. All the kids visit Paris, and I got nostalgic about visiting Paris and kissing boys on the (not so) sly when I was 16.

4th Book Finished Bad Boy by Elliot Wake is a thriller and dark romance centered on a trans man, Ren, who is a vlogger by day and a vigilante group's muscle by night. However, his life has unraveled, and Ren must figure out who betrayed him. This story takes big swings but doesn't always hit them.
