They didn't contact me unless all other options had failed. Every time my pager buzzed I knew I would be facing a challenge that had been deemed insurmountable by those whose responsibility it was to manage, and I was their last and best hope. At least, that's what I thought! The last one of those I did I actually failed to solve. This happened occasionally - sometimes everybody else fails because failure was truly inevitable. But this time I left behind my gear bag and I overheard them talking: "Time to call in the cavalry!" What? There's somebody better than me!? #BubbleDrabbles
