Playing around with some distant scenery.
In the isolation zones, there are pockets of super-dense radioactive fog that you can't pass through.
I've added these "roots" around those areas to give them some character.

Been working on some level design for #TheGreyRoad.
Honestly Im feeling great about it tonight, but I will say that level design has always been some of my weaker points.
I think a lot of my issues come from a lack of direction. Forcing some rules/goals for each level has helped me overcome that.

Still in that "convince yourself to make it bad and then improve it later" phase with the enemies.
This is just a proof of concept with some temp animations, but I have a little attack system setup for the enemies with configurable tracking.

Here's the second monster we're trying out.
These ones are small hornet enemies. They can't really do much to you if you're in a car, but they can really mess you up if they catch you out or group up.

A few misc updates for #TheGreyRoad:
- Finished up some map icons (The red ones show up after you visit them)
- Added weather forecast to the HUD (The arrow fills so you know how long before the next starts)
-Added a clock to the car :)

Finished a first pass at NPCs / Trading
Npcs will be rarely found in the world, You can have a short conversation with them and trade items/scrap.
This girl is a stuffed animal collector - She likes to find stuffed animals and repair them.

Either way - I've fixed up door / window navigation. The AI monsters will now navigate through and break windows / doors.
Kinda fun to slam a door behind you and run while the mosnter works on breaking it down.

Since I'm likely going to have to make - a ton - of houses, I've been working on a modular house kit. I added in the roofs today.
Still needs a detail pass, but I think this is passable.

In my survival horror road trip game #TheGreyRoad you have to find a safe house and sleep in it to save your game. This also heals you and your car a set amount.
However, you need to board up the windows to make it "safe"
