This week on Plastic Craic: MY Ogres!
I've been working on this for weeks, and I'm glad @plasticcraicaos.bsky.social gave me the chance to show #TheManeaterLegion off. Every single Ogre in the army!

A unit of Ironguts of a Maneater bent; an Idoneth Deepkin champion, a Skaven Plague Priest musician, a Stormcast standard bearer, and an Anointed Sentinel rank-and-file guy.
I've been kitbashing Ogre* Maneaters for over 20 years, and now they're fighting for Coolest Army trophies as a gang of Gutbusters. #TheManeaterLegion are on 1.5 trophies and counting!
As a taster, here's one unit of Ironguts spanning the Mortal Realms.
*not Ogor; we're not Beasts of Chaos.
An Ogre Maneater riding a giant Tomb King Warsphinx. The Ogre is mostly painted, albeit without any FUCKING MUMMY BANDAGES. The Warsphinx is mostly just undercoated, some elements having a base coat of gold, and doesn't have a head.
Another WIP shot of the Tomb Lord Bolg-Hotep, and it's literally at the point of doing this post that I've realised "the Maneater cosplaying as a Tomb King WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BANDAGES FFS".

I can't show you the latest model for #TheManeaterLegion, because my wife sees these, and doesn't want to see a huge spider acting as a Scraplauncher.
So you'll have to come back when my Secret Second Bit Of Content drops to see a sneak peek!
My pride and joy, #TheManeaterLegion.
The super-lazy way of doing that is by waving my #TheManeaterLegion hashtag at you, and saying "most of that"!
Normally I'm good about taking photos, but I might be jaded at this point :D
I've decided I'm going to be my own meme, and take some Yhetees in #TheManeaterLegion, if only because they're probably more useful for my last 100 points than some Frost Sabres that'll just die immediately.
I can get away with three random Maneaters still on 50mm bases as Yhetees, right? #AoS
A big red and bronze treasure chest, as featured in my army.
A big red and bronze treasure chest, in a van acting as spoilers for the World Champions of Warhammer Preview show.
Officially confirmed; the Great Treasure Chest that #TheManeaterLegion uses as a Mawpot is being revealed at the World Championship this weekend!
#AoS
An Ogre Irongut and an Anointed Sentinel next to each other, as shown on MiniCompare.info. Turns out they're about the same size in terms of torso, head, and arms!
So I don't want to start a Hellsmiths army.
But I always want to make more Maneaters.
And they're apparently making it easy for me...
#AoS #TheManeaterLegion
Just realised I never shared any pictures of the finished Gnoblars... well, anywhere! #TheManeaterLegion #AoS
If you see this, post a photo you took a year ago this month!
The first repaint in #TheManeaterLegion, taking my Gorgers from Pink Horror Pink to The Same Colours As My FeC.
#OneYearAgoAugust #AgeOfSigmar
The newest additions to my unit of Gnoblars; a baby dragon from the High Elf dragon kit, a bat swarm from Cursed City, an old metal chameleon from the Lizardmen Jungle Swarm set, a Spirit Host head, and a GOOSE.
All twenty little dudes!
There's technically enough Gnoblars to stick a unit in #TheManeaterLegion... but I've got one more in the post, to sub out that Cursed City gargoyle (the bats are a bit more FeC in vibe), and then we can start spraying. And then the meta will change, and make them pointless!
#AoS
The five new Gnoblars; a giant crab, two giant rats, an actual Gnoblar, a liche car, and a baby Trogg.
The 15 Gnoblars I have so far.
A close up on the baby Trogg, leaning on a mushroom.
We've got a few more Gnoblars for #TheManeaterLegion, taken from my resurfaced bitz box and Tadpole's 3D printer.
I'm very chuffed I found a use for the mushrooms I got with the swag bag at Games Day 2001! #AoS
An OBR Teratic Prowler, a CoS Wildercorps dog, a Gryph-Hound, a Wood Elf Sprite, a base of Brimstone Horrors, an old metal Nurgling, a Cursed City cat and demon imp, and a CoS gargoylen. All on 25mm bases!
So I've not been doing a lot of #AoS while we've been settling into the new house. But I've got my first tournament of the new GHB tomorrow.
And #TheManeaterLegion has about half a unit of Gnoblars!
Yeah, close enough. I touched up that wrist strap after taking the picture. Now to take that Coolest Army trophy...

This is the last free evening I've got to finish painting two Mournfang for this weekend's PubHammer Open.
They're basically done, apart from tiny areas each.
It'll still be a race against time; I definitely go slowly and ~~carefully~~ sloppily.
Pics will come before bed?
#AoS #TheManeaterLegion
An Ogre riding a boar, with green warpaint and a standard that's got more than two colours on it.
My enthusiasm for painting (and indeed hobby in general) has been massively dented recently by the complete absence of moving house, and having packed all my paint away.
But PubHammer Open's next weekend, so here's my brute-forcing some paint onto my Bonesplittaz Mournfang.
#AoS #TheManeaterLegion
A half-painted Ogre riding a Gore-Grunta, and a half-painted Ogre riding a Doomwheel.
It's apparently time to finish the Mournfang element of #TheManeaterLegion, @aospete.bsky.social told me to. No problem in 3 weeks with all my paints packed up, right?
An Ogre Leadbelcher Maneater, styled out to how I thought Cathay was going to look in about 2021. Main features: Chinese lion-head gutplate, cannon with dragon face.
The Fire Rain Rocket Battery from the Cathay army announced last night. Cannon has a giant dragon-face, but there's no Chinese lions anywhere.
So, last night's reveal was atrocious for AoS content.
But how do we think the Cathayan rocket-cannon Leadbelcher from #TheManeaterLegion ranks up to the actual Cathayan rocket-cannon?
A ghost ogre with a knife!
So one of the subtler themes of #TheManeaterLegion is that all the wizards are from Death factions - hence the Butcher skeleton on the OBR throne and the Corpse Cart Slaughtermaster.
This is the other Butcher, who's repping the Nighthaunt. He actually inspired my Nighthaunt army's colour scheme!
Now we're between tournaments, here's some guys from #TheManeaterLegion who don't see the tabletop a lot - my second Butcher, highlighting my All Wizards From Death theming, and my Shadow Warrior Bloodpelt Hunter
While it's always been in my profile banner, I've not actually posted the Mawpot for #TheManeaterLegion; a huge pile of treasure that an army of Maneaters would find way more exciting than just a big pot of soup.
Every gold coin got hand-made by slicing up rolls of green stuff. It was very fiddly.
The last two units in #TheManeaterLegion that I took to Warfare this weekend at the Gluttons, this editions bland-but-good-value unit. I personally enjoy Ironguts more, but I have to at least _try_ to win...
Pictures of the two units of Gluttons in #TheManeaterLegion will have to wait until tomorrow, because they're in the car waiting to go to Warfare in the morning, and it's cold outside and I can't be arsed to go get them.
I'll take an on-table picture after I've unloaded in the morning.
In the interests of getting the whole of #TheManeaterLegion onto Bluesky in time for Warfare, I'm going to leap ahead to the big man himself, Kragnos! Or... the Wyrm-Khan Rhagnos, who rides a massive snake into battle.
I find I enjoy any Kragnos kitbash; the regular boy just doesn't do it for me.
A recent addition to #TheManeaterLegion is a small unit of Frost Sabres to fill up 70 points, take objectives, score tactics, and have a jolly old time dying to the first unit that sees them. Naturally, they're also cosplayers like their masters, and I've made more than I'll actually use in-game.
The most extensive green stuff work in #TheManeaterLegion is actually the skinniest... a Butcher long deprived of his own meat by the arcane machinations of a Soulmason's bony throne.
Good morning Bluesky! This morning, #TheManeaterLegion presents the newest unit of Ironguts, who each favour a different Chaos power.
I'm constantly annoyed that my favourite model in the unit, the Slaanesh guy based on the Lord of Hubris, is the rank-and-file guy who's always taken off first.
100+ follows in a day? I've not had so much social media attention since James Blunt found a comment I made on TikTok about how everything he does is awesome except his music!
Anyway, here's Stagh Ironjaw, the Tyrant of #TheManeaterLegion. I'll post everyone I'm taking to Warfare 2024 this week.
