I found treasure in the charred ashes of broken vows. That withered and wept of hostility and vitriol. I asked it to consider rising up and meeting me in a peaceful corner. A biosphere— clean that functioned simply. Asking only to bring his forlorn spirit and lay with me. To generate a glowing calmness that we could take away back into the world.
Pulled this one out of the draft graveyard that is my Notes app — circa 2021.
Reading it back, wishing I could tap into the mind of my past self mid-sentence and whisper, “Oh no, baby… what is you doing??” 😂
