Image of first quarter Moon from 25th March.  The Clair Obscura effects of the Lunar X and V are visible on the terminator.  The effect is caused by sunlight hitting features like crater walls while leaving leaving the surface in darkness, causing our eyes and brains to recognise an X or V shape.

Last night I did a quick run of 30 minutes per narrowband filter on each frame of a 3-panel mosaic on Soul Nebula. I stacked it up with basically zero processing and I like how it looks! More integration time incoming!

Pointed at the Andromeda Galaxy last night. The #touptek 585M does a great job and atm is my favourite camera but it needs to be paired with something wider than my 420mm triplet. I think an SQA55 or SV555 will be on my doorstep soon to do this camera justice. #astrophotography #space #andromeda
