#UFMarch Day 31: It's the last day! Time to show us the book (or books) you've been talking about all month :)

One of the last urban fantasy books I read was a short story by Phillip K Dick “The king of elves”
It is really wonderful to finish a book and doubt if it was a made up story or not.

#UFMarch Day 30
One of my favourite books in recent years was "The Piano Tuner's Song" by Karenza Grant, which is perhaps a bit more magical realism than urban fantasy, but was a stunning debut!
Another favourite is Annette Marie's Guild Codex series, I just flew through these! 🥰
#UFMarch Day 30: Favourite UF Book/Series
We're almost at the end of the month, so let's start wrapping it up. What's your favourite UF book or series?

The Dark forest is teeming with creatures, beasts, and like our adventurers will find out, something arcane, darker. As they go deep into the gut of Vermin Peak everyone will be put to the test.
Help them find what lurks within!

#UFMarch Day 29: I've got one series full of ghosts (Parisian Ghosts, duh) and another featuring lots of nature spirits such as dryads, sylphs, nymphs etc (Spirit Seekers).
And then of course Ashuan is full of all kinds of monsters in a monster of the week kind of style.

#UFMarch Day 29: We had vampires, werewolves, fae, shifters, demons, witches, and even humans. Do you have any other supernatural creatures in your stories. Or are you planning any?

My stories often circle two truths:
You don’t owe your soul to any system that claims to own you.
And real love—love that matters—never asks you to shrink.
It sees you whole, and stays.

#UFMarch 28 Real world themes in my stories are about individuals finding themselves as part of a relationship. These being a found family, a group of friends, a passion, a duty.
Cherubim is about friendship, and love
Seraphim is about is about passion and duty

#UFMarch Day 28: I always see my fantasy as real world stories in a fun, adventurous packaging. The Spirit Seekers series, for example, is full of nature spirits wreaking havoc and elemental powers, that's quite openly an allegory on climate change. (other themes below)

#UFMarch Day 28: Real World Themes - while our works are often full of the supernatural and imagination, what are some of the real world themes that have found their way into your books? What themes do you gravitate to?

#UFMarch Day 27: As the legend goes . . . The Ute tribes who inhabited this area first were (reasonably) angry with the white folk for stealing their land and cursed it. If you leave, and you don't take a jar of dirt from what became the Colorado National Monument, you were doomed to return. cont.👇
Locals know the signs
When the river fog rolls in too thick, and the tides pull wrong, and red sails are spotted near the old docks—that’s when they say Bonny’s back 🏴☠️
And on stormy nights, you can hear boots on wet boards, the clink of blade to belt
A woman’s laugh—low, reckless, hungry
#UFMarch
#UFMarch Day 27: I was born in Berlin and there's a whole tone of local legends and spooky encounters. One of my favourite one is that of Blumenthal, a city north of the city which vanished completely from sight. Legend has it that if you go through the forest, you can hear sounds from...
#UFMarch Day 27: Does the place you live in have a local, supernatural legend? Maybe there's a magical place or maybe it's haunted. Tell us 🥰

While some have claws, wings, or horns. Geri? Just good coffee and a spine of steel. Her love interest might be possessed by a demon, her bishop’s a liar, and the Church wants her silent—but she’s got spreadsheets, stubborn faith, and a thing for lost causes.

#UFMarch Day 26: confession time, I love humans 😅 Every time I had to create characters in an online roleplaying games, I might start with one from every fantasy race, but I'd always end up with a bunch of humans. In a way, they're the most versatile, because every other fantasy race comes with...
#UFMarch Day 26: The human of the group. With everyone being a vampire, werewolf, fae, half-this and that, it's tough to be the only human one... or is it? Tell us all about your humans.

He begged Heaven for a miracle.
Hell sent her instead.
Not salvation, not damnation—
just someone who stayed.
Someone who saw the cracks and didn’t look away.
In the ashes, she became the only family he had left.

In SuperS Market, the girls are their own family
Dee was adopted by her aunt who is no longer here, Mo was sent away and now cares for an elder, Sue has no memory of who she was.
So now they have each other, and all the drama you can expect
#romantic #comedy #drama #marvel #supers
#UFMarch Day 25: I started #ParisianGhosts with a normal and happy (!) family of five. Alix even still lives at home. However, I also made her the middle child of 3 sisters, and boy do they bring the drama, especially her older sister Hélène, probably one of the most hated characters in the series..
#UFMarch Day 25: What would #urbanfantasy be without some good old-fashioned family drama. Whether it's missing siblings, secret parents or the family is straight up toxic, there's always something. Tell me about your UF family drama.

“He laughs like it hurts. I smile like I mean it.
We trade barbs instead of truths,
hide tenderness in punchlines.
Wit is safer than honesty—
but sometimes, in the quiet between jokes,
I almost say what I shouldn’t.
Almost.” ~ Jess

#UFMarch Day 24: Time to inject some humour into your stories. Tell us about the fun bits, whether that's outright funny, a humorous voice or just a little quirkiness.

#UFMarch Day 23 Because my series is a "monster of the week" setup, there is every chance I'll incorporate some different shifters along the way. I don't have any planned as of yet but I'm not ruling it out either.
You think the danger’s in the claws—It’s not
It’s in how it feels to become something else.
That’s the curse.
And the sweetest freedom
But the trick isn’t shifting skin.
It’s knowing who you are underneath it.
The skin remembers
So does the hunger
And some shapes never let go.

#UFMarch Day 23 - Today's supernatural creature are shifters (werewolves excluded, we had them earlier).

Some leave no body—only silence, bought in gold and fear.
The Church wore white.
The soul bled quiet.
And she came—
not to save, not to damn—
but to show them the mirror they buried long ago.

In Supers Market, the small town was affected by “The bad year” in which people mysteriously got sick and passed away in a couple days
Many of them worked at the water treatment plant, inside the restricted forest
That’s the same day Dee got her powers…
