I had these photos scanned in by a local lab service a few years ago and am slowly going through the film photography equipment, books and other items that I inherited.
This is a film scan of a photo a relative took on the Eastern Plains of #Colorado in the 1920s. That relative was taking a Kodak Correspondence course and sending in 120 #film negatives for review and feedback with typewritten letters.

The 125-foot tall Astoria column was build in 1926 and has a 164-step spiral staircase ascending to an exterior observation deck at the top. there mural shows significant events in the early history of Oregon, as well as 18 scenes from the history of the region, including Captain Gray's discovery of the Columbia River in 1792 and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The view from the observation desk is spectacular. The picture shows a row of dark pine trees behind the column and cloud cover with a bit of blue.
