I see there were a number of elderly/disabled #ToryRejectsDeformVoters in the clip!
"Turkeys voting for Xmas!🦃"Do they know that #FrogFacedFascistFarage is gonna SLASH the #WelfareBill- including #PIP benefits-and #means-testing their #Pensions!
That's over 10,000 #PIP & 14,907 #Pensioners!#Yikes😱
As the biggest part of the #WelfareBill is spent on #Pensions, I think"pensioners"would rightly be insulted at being labelled #BenefitClaimants by the likes of #ToryScrounger,#KemiBadenoch & the #ToryPress!
People should educate themselves on what makes up the #WelfareBill-before they JUDGE others!

An interesting set of minutes has appeared on Gov.uk from March
Stephen Timms met with regional disability advisors who raised concerns re proposed benefit cuts to universal credit and personal independence payment bill
None were listened to

Somebody needs to make Keir Starmer and Liz Kendall sit down and watch this speech.

The UN committee asks some excellent questions. It’s clear to me that MPs are comfortable voting the #WelfareBill through because they care more about what’s being offered to them regarding their self serving careers than in protecting their disabled constituents.

My West #Worthing Labour MP Dr Beccy Cooper voted for this bill, despite many of us writing to her to say it would make disabled people poorer.

‼️ Cuts, calamity and concessions. By hook or by crook, the UK Government has gotten its welfare reforms through parliament.
We take a closer look at what's in the #WelfareBill following all the changes and its likely implications now that's passed.

333 Labour MPs voted to make 750,000 sick and disabled people £3,000 worse off in the middle of a cost of living crisis and push 50,000 of them into poverty!
At the next general election, remember what these MPs did to some of the most vulnerable in our society! #NeverForget

Bruised. Battered. Future unknown for many after yesterday's rushed and forced #WelfareBill in the UK parliament. Today we try to pick ourselves up and remain positive. Stay safe. Sun is shining. Here...no shopping. Music. Catch up on sleep(my foot issues are good)but the knees/feet are very warm.
We are in unchartered territory. So many unknowns. What we can see is just how rotten our politics are. Working against the most vulnerable in society. And not even being truthful to many within their fellow party members. #WelfareBill
❌ Tonight, the government got its #WelfareBill through the Commons.
This shambolic process has been hastily done from start to finish, with a lack of co-production, a lack of proper parliamentary scrutiny, and a lack of compassion toward those who stood to be most affected.
The UK Government can still reconsider its flawed #WelfareBill.
BASW, together with other advocacy groups, has called on MPs to reject the proposals today and instead collaborate with disabled individuals to co-design all disability benefits reforms.

⏳ There's still time for the UK Government to row back on its flawed #WelfareBill
Alongside other campaigning organisations, we've urged MPs to vote down the proposals today, and instead co-produce all disability benefits reforms with disabled people.

Today, MPs will vote on the #WelfareBill, which will mean 750,000 low income sick & disabled people will lose £3,000 a year
An estimated 50,000 people will be pushed into poverty
The UN said it will "deepen the signs of regression" on disabled people's rights in the UK

We know the UN has every reason to be concerned. They have been for years but I’m yet to see our govt take heed. How the DWP has the nerve to say “We are putting the views and voices of disabled people at the heart of our review” is beyond me. Liars.

🚨 Ahead of tomorrow's debate on the #WelfareBill we've joined with partners to urge the UK Government to exempt care leavers from the proposed cuts to Universal Credit.
If Ministers ignore our calls, the Bill will have a disproportionate impact on young care leavers, pushing more into poverty.
On this link, you'll find a table of amendments to the #UCBill, both the government's and MPs. public.flourish.studio/visualisatio...

#WelfareBill back in Commons later this week. The debate over last few months seems to have moved public opinion closer to Labour backbenchers.

The UC and PIP Bill is very far from dead and as it stands will seriously harm millions of ill and disabled. Please write to your MP if you can bear it. Decent template letter here explaining some of the reasons it's terrible: docs.google.com/document/d/1... #WelfareBill #TakingThePIP #BinUCBill

Creating a two-tier system where younger disabled people and those who become disabled in the future will be disadvantaged and denied access to work and education, is morally wrong.
The government needs to drop its entire #WelfareBill!
