He tended the #tulip field with care, one of a line of custodians of a field sold at the height of tulip mania and recouped after the crash
The vibrant colours, the patterns of the plots stood as a beautiful heirloom carrying the memories of the 1630's

"Why'd you pick #Wallaby as your favourite marsupial? They're toy sized and nothing next to a kangaroo."
"Well, they're small and cute, they're extra fluffy with a range of colours, and they can't mess you up like a kangaroo can."
"Fair."

Turns out once again, I implore,
Right there, you hide and ignore
And look to the sky or out to see
Notice the clouds but always not me,
Cause I'm invisible and divisible
Echoing the fact, I'm plainly miserable.

You're all fucking sheep!
he shouted at the sheep,
sheepishly, they looked
a bit put out...
As they were just cows
who just followed the herd.
A bit absurd
but definitely not sheep.

Black background with white text reads: That honesty was like a punch to the gut. It was… easier… When he was just that unavailable bartender. It was a hell of a lot harder when he was standing in her immaculate apartment, admitting that he, the source of all recent spontaneous turbulence, was just as lonely as her, too. Clara walked over to the kitchen counter and gently examined the new addition. The Bunny Ear Cactus, or ‘Peter’, looked only slightly less ridiculous now, settled next to a neatly stacked pile of gardening books and her horticulture magazines. She prodded the overly damp soil with one finger, and appraised the cutesy but too-small-a-pot with a critical eye. “He'll need a fresh start. I know I've a large enough pot around here that he can have” she started pulling out an array of terracotta plant pots, of various shapes and sizes from what Leo had wrongly assumed to have been a pantry cupboard. "I know already that Bartholomew's going to hate him," she murmured, quickly running through a mental checklist of repotting materials she had to hand. "He hates all new arrivals - he's very territorial about the south light” she went on “and I have it on very good authority that he views all non-spherical foliage as ‘vulgar’”. "Then we'll have to make sure Peter stands his ground," Leo replied, walking closer to stand beside her. He didn't touch her, but his presence was a warm, vibrant force next to her quiet neutrality. "Maybe I can help you with the repotting? I'm good with soil. Terrible with emotional commitment, apparently, but great with dirt?” She looked at him, seeing the genuine plea for a small, simple task and a shared piece of her structured life. The chaos was still there, but it was packaged differently now. It was holding a tiny spade instead of a tequila glass.

The tree grove exploded, and #flames licked at the moon as horrid screams echoed across the battlefield
Then the ground ruptured, and dwarves surged at us, so many cut down, then Lord Gerrin's son fell
Gerrin cried, and dropped his flag to surrender

How could you not see,
gull to her wit?
Her smooth tongue—the bait,
your lust—the easy hit.
You stood at the pit’s shaft,
blind to her craft.
Sold on her “tea,”
as she fleeced you of me.
The power of the ocean
a flash of a fish's colours
let me breath in the air
the call of a sea gull
the chug of a boat near to the shoreline
sunlight dancing on a glinting calm sea
The joy of children playing on soft sand
with buckets and spades
all caught up in a dream

My daughter
Crown of primroses
Lilac halo
Perfumed innocence
Hand in hand
Dancing In a ring
As autumnal leaves
Fall at our feet
A carpet of russet wonder.

I must admit I do love a good sonnet.. excuse me my brain is skipping all over the place today!
I listen to the satisfying

of it as I shake the pan.
A predictability in pattern,
to the popping of #corn
yet individually,
the timing cannot be told:
like luck,
like life,
like death.
So savour the taste,
while graced
with time.
