Photo of Coltsfoot plants (Tussilago farfara) flowering amongst the grass. Each flower, borne on a short, thick stem, has many thin petals, yellow in colour like the centre of the flower. No Coltsfoot leaves are visible - they will come later, as the flowers wither away; the shape of those leaves is the source of the plant's common name.
