Nana's Recipe for Fruit Cake XMAS CAKE 8 ounces of Butter. 8 ounces of Sugar. 10 ounces of Plain Flour. 4 Eggs. 4 ounces of Ground Almonds. 2 ounces of Cherries. 3 ounces of Chopped Almonds. 8 ounces of Raisins. 8 ounces of Sultanas. 8 ounces of Currants. 1 Level Teaspoon of Mace. 1 Level Teaspoon of Nutmeg. Bake on Number 1 for three and a half hours.

Bara Brith π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ which translates to Speckled Bread. Made this morning. Itβs in my cake tin covered in baking paper left open for the photo. The tin lid is on the table and seems to match my wipe clean tablecloth colours. Greys and yellows.
Just made another Bara Brith. It always turns out delicious and everyone likes it.
My Xmas cake on the other hand doesnβt get eaten. They donβt like marzipan or icing.
I have a cunning plan! Dried cranberries in my next Bara Brith and a Santa π
on the top!
