I'd not be shocked if a verdict comes out soon w/t a public trial. In handling this case - the Chinese gov vs. #YuWensheng (& #XuYan), the police, state prosecutors, the courts have behaved as exemplars of rule without law, dependence on & obedience to the CCP, defiance of fair trial rights.

Chinese human rights lawyer #YuWensheng has been sentenced to 3 yrs imprisonment & his wife #XuYan was sentenced to 1 yrs & 9 mos imprisonment. They were taken away by the Beijing police when they were on their way to meet #JosepBorrellFontelles #AnnalenaBaerbock in April 2023
