Several milkweed stems with young vertical leaves are popped out of the ground. They have very thick stems despite being only a few inches high. There’s a trunk drip line visible and a 1/4-incu line with an emitter in view.

Lovely afternoon in the #Yarden repotted a few plants like a hop & some grasses . But also made up one of mega pots , large 90cm dia containers with mixed perennials, in my move to a more sustainable drought resistant yard. As usual several hours went by totally absorbed in work . #gardens

A New Asian Pear tree, quite young, has many clusters of cherry-stemmed white flowers with yellow centers. The leaves are narrow and freshly green.
Today the yellow-skinned New Century asian pear is in full bloom. It is just in time to help pollinate the brown skinned Hosui asian pear, which is at the end of its bloom. The New Century asian pear tree wants to be a cherry tree. #BloomScrolling #Yarden #HomeOrchard

#HappyStDavidsDay Said before I really like Tête-à-tête* ,they are compact, punchy and have the simple trumpet structure I prefer. I'm not a fan of doubled and tripled flowers. They are a good yellow too, it's almost the lead yellow of the Mk1 Golf. #bloomscrolling #yarden
Spent a couple of hours fettling the #Yarden last year's seed heads and stems which looked striking and defiant over winter had turned drab and fragmented. They are now in the compost bin and the cycle continues. My pots are filled with green leaves and the odd flower. #gardening #gardens

Nature ever the contrarian , in Spring I planted some nasturtiums, carefully tended them but in the summer heat they faltered. Cue the autumn and there's a huge plant growing in the compost bin , and few others in cracks in the concrete etc. #yarden
