#ASC2024 was a hit. We had a great Lightning rounds on publishing in #criminology w/Gary Sweeten, Dana Haynie, and the man himself, Rob Sampson. Look forward to implementing your suggestions on data transparency, improving review times and promoting the work of young and underrepresented scholars.

I’ve brought a horrendous respiratory virus home from the #ASC2024 conference in San Francisco. Not covid, but a nasty cough. #AcademicSky
I asked people at #ASC2024 last week what the plan for NIJ or BJS is. And the people had no answers 🤷🤦
So lucky to have been able to present at the American Society of Criminology meeting in San Francisco this week with students and colleagues! #ASC2024
Well thank you San Francisco #ASC2024 it was great to present INTERACT (tech in police contact) & 3PO (online harms) & at least I got a nice view of San Fran when we took off and had to re-land 😬 fingers crossed second time lucky now & hopefully I’ll only be home a day late🤞as kids not v impressed 🙈

That’s the end of my #asc2024. Delighted bro have made lots of new friends working in the cybercrime research sphere, and spend some quality time with old friends around the Bay Area.
I went to some very good panels at #ASC2024, but I won’t return to the ASC in future. Why? (1) I’d rather go to a workshop or small event than a mega-meeting; (2) there are some folks I really don’t want to see & time gets spent avoiding them (3) cost - brutal, with nothing provided. #criminology
I’ve had a great week at #ASC2024, enjoyed chairing the sexual offending stream where there was some unbelievable presentations and really enjoyed visiting San Francisco police stations to discuss their style of #sexoffender #management. Now for the long flight home……
Had a great time at #ASC2024 ! But looking forward to getting back to east coast time and the kids. See you all in DC next year!
Summit Team Member, Monica Summers, presented ongoing research by the team today at #ASC2024 about the transformational impact of the #ACJSSummit on doctoral education in criminology and criminal justice!
Was really privileged to participate in a youth justice discussion panel at #ASC2024 in conjunction with @runscj.bsky.social 50th anniversary! Grateful to hear about my fellow panelists’ impactful work in this area!
Excited to hear more about NJ Step successes. #ASC2024 #Criminology #Rutgers
Excited to find more #academic bluesky accounts and even #criminology and #ASC2024 posts. The only piece that is still missing is NJ Politics. Let's get this done, pretty please.
I started an academic criminologists/criminal justice scholars starter pack.
This is an ongoing starter pack that I am still expanding, so please let me know if you'd like to be added (sorry for any omissions!), and please share if you find it useful.

My first panel at #ASC2024. Looking forward to hearing the panelists on this topic.
I was thinking of doing this, but not sure there's enough critical mass yet. Only 2/9 authors (1 of which is me) in the session I'm chairing have bsky accounts. But would be fantastic for future meetings as this grows. #ASC2024
Calling all criminologists attending #ASC2024 here in San Francisco! Stop by the UC Press booth to see the latest books in #criminology.
A very sleep-deprived Day 1 at #ASC2024! Presented my work on digital voyeurism before going to another on similar topics (male victims in IBSA) that turned into a conversation among people who do work in the area—probably the most productive ASC session I’ve ever been to 🥹
First day of my first #ASC2024 and wow this is MAHOOSIVE. Great start with a very cool panel indeed on humour and narrative criminology. already some valuable reflections to
Take home. Need to do my own talks first though 😬
Sooo….any other criminologists going to #ASC2024? #Criminology
Sad I’m missing #ASC2024 next week but I’ll be in DC for it in 2025! #criminology

I attended #ASC2024 organised by @unibz and @dSEA_Unipd. At the ERC, I presented my job market paper on how enforcement actions on commercial bank subsidiaries affect parent bank holding companies accounting disclosure, co-authored with Prof. Steven Ongena .
