It's is terrific to have a major international event in the parish, so to speak, but I'm especially chuffed to discover that the day two route seems to include a short length of our #StHelens #BeatingTheBounds route, in Billinge. Shucks.

Excellent stuff. I set up the #BeatingTheBounds walk in #StHelens in 2017 very much in this spirit. The differences are that ours is annual (next year will be the 10th), and much longer (43 miles, due to being around a post-1972 Local Government Act boundary).

The 9th annual #BeatingTheBounds #StHelens was a treat yesterday: 15 starters at 0430, 8 finishers at 20.15, with others joining for parts of the 42.5 mile route, raising £790 (+Gift Aid) for @sthelensmind.bsky.social.
