Pel’s fishing owl. Een grote roofvogel (Pels visuil) zittend op een dikke boomtak tussen veel bladeren en dunne takken. De vogel zit iets rechts van het midden en kijkt naar voren. Het verenkleed is licht crème aan de kop en borst, met roestbruin-oranje tinten en donkerdere vlekken op de flanken. De snavel is kort en donker, met donkere ogen. De boom heeft grijze, kronkelende takken en groen blad; de lucht op de achtergrond is bleek en egaal.
African Scops-owl Een uil met grijsgemarmerd verenkleed, frontaal gefotografeerd, zittend tussen boomschors en takken. De uil heeft kleine oorpluimpjes, geelgroene ogen en een smalle, donkere streep midden op de kop. De borst is overwegend wit met donkere, verticale en golvende tekening; de vleugels aan de zijkanten zijn donkerder met witte strepen. Boven de kop hangt een klein groen blad. Rechts loopt een lichte, smalle tak.
Long-eared owl Een ransuil tussen dichte, kale takken van een boom. De uil zit tegen een stam aan, grotendeels frontaal naar de camera gericht. Het dier heeft duidelijke oorpluimen, een donker gezicht met een lichtere rand, en een bruin, gevlekt verenkleed met verticale strepen op de borst. De achtergrond is licht van kleur, waardoor de takken en de uil als donkere vormen afsteken. Er is geen tekst zichtbaar in de afbeelding.
Great horned owl Een grote uil met bruine en crème-kleurige, gestreepte veren zit in een dennenboom tussen takken en naalden. De uil heeft opvallende oorpluimen, gele ogen en een donkere snavel. De borst en buik tonen fijne, horizontale strepen; op de schouders en rug zitten gevlekte patronen. Op de voorgrond kruisen enkele takjes en naalden deels voor het lichaam. Rechts naast de uil loopt een dikkere tak omhoog met wat mos of korstmos eraan. Onderaan is een dennenappel zichtbaar tussen de takken. De achtergrond is onscherp en lichtgrijs, waardoor de uil duidelijk centraal in beeld staat.

Not the best photo as snuck out quietly to catch a picture. This is a Baltimore oriole. They sound so beautiful and I looked forward to their return every spring. For the first week upon their arrival constant trips to the feeder.
