I dithered, but in the end my #1 vote for #BirdOfTheCentury had to go to this absolute king. They have killer style, are the only member of family notiomystidae and I've been lucky enough to see them at Bushy Park near Whanganui. Hihi is Aotearoa's bird of the century, and I won't hear otherwise.
