This is a color landscape photograph of Manhattan at night from the Brooklyn Bridge Park in front of of the pylons of pier 1. The pylons are in silhouette against the glow of the city lights on the flat, smooth and muted water (owing to the long exposure). The city lights make color bands vertically like a reflection, but there is no details, just bands of color. From left to right, the colors are two yellow bands a large orange band, a thin purple one and then a thick yellow band. Then a muted yellow a light blue, a soft yellow, another purple, then one yellow, two orange, a ight blue and another orange. The pylons take up the majority of the foreground, but a small ssection of Brooklyn park is visible on the right, including a lit up line of trees leading to a working pair in the Hudson River. The background is the brightly lit colorful skyline of lower Manhattan including the World Trade Center. Above the skyline the sky goes from a white/grey kind of blue to a very dark muted blue with grey/black tones.
This #Cityscape of #Manhattan was taken from #BrooklynBridgePark. I know this shot has been done lots of times, but this one is mine. I am relatively new to #Photography, so this felt good.
