Here we see fresh snow on a pine forest with a craggy peak above left center. A pair of closer pines dominate the picture at right. In the distance at center right, under a low cloudbank, is the Colorado River basin.

Travel with me back to 2013 for this #mountainmonday pictorial adventure, when Anne and I were surprised by an October snowfall in the La Sal mountains above Castle Valley.
